PLANET VOICES SYMPOSIUM (2024)
When I took up the role of President, Interact Palmville (the student arm of Rotary Palmville), I wanted to work on Projects that would engage middle and high school students. Since I am passionate about sustainability, I conceived the idea of having an event for middle and high school students – to collaborate on Climate change and actions. Given that schools do not address this topic enough – young people need to get involved in this critical area – for spreading the urgency, understanding success stories, ensuring action and ideation of new solutions. I pitched this idea to the District Head of Interact and the local Rotary President, who appreciated the idea wholeheartedly. From September 2024, we worked as a team to hold the Planet Voices Symposium 2024 - an event that brought together over 750 students from schools across Bangalore on 16th November 2024, to learn more about the field of sustainability and climate change.
In preparation for the event, we had to work on different aspects as a team to finalise the venue, food, logistics, design the flyer, finalise expert speakers from Government of Karnataka, NGOs, local Industry and invite students from various Interact chapters. I also arranged for 2 Companies to sponsor the event - Akshayakalpa, an organic dairy product company, and Konspec, an industry leader in the field of plastic Masterbatches. On the day of the event, I delivered the concept speech, introducing the idea of the event to all students, and sharing my thoughts on how we, as future leaders, can play a role in shaping a more sustainable future. Seeing students from various schools come together, listening with rapt attention to the speeches, and interacting enthusiastically with subject matter experts, I was happy to have set the ball rolling. Rotary and Interact plan to take this movement across Karnataka and India, where school students would be exposed to the subject, brainstorm solutions, and initiate environment projects.

Emeready (2024)
I volunteered at Emeready, a foundation dedicated to teaching first aid to children in government schools in Bangalore, India. We conducted sessions covering essential first aid topics, such as treating wounds, burns, sprains, fractures, nosebleeds, and fainting. We also designed posters for lasting awareness and raised funds to supply first aid kits. So far, we have held sessions with 100 students and distributed 100 first aid kits.
People for Menstrual Sustainability (2022)
In 2022, I co-founded the People for Menstrual Sustainability project, promoting menstrual health for underprivileged women in my community by educating them about proper menstrual hygiene and providing sustainable menstrual products amongst close to 75 women.
Adult Literacy Program (2022)
I led an Adult Literacy Program in our community, where we created a basic English module for domestic workers, taught reading and writing skills, and provided certificates to enhance their employment prospects. Over 40 domestic workers benefited from this program.

Covidaid (2021)
During the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, I participated in COVIDAid, which provided real-time updates on medical resource availability. I coordinated a team to monitor online resources and recruited volunteers to expand public access to vital information. Over the summer, the team spent more than 150 man-hours collecting reliable data and sharing it with community user groups, improving the efficiency of connecting patients with essential resources.
