Hi! I'm Aditya Gururaj.
As I reflect on my academic journey, I'm reminded I've been lucky enough to have had an amazing high school experience at National Public School, Koramangala. At NPS, I've had the privilege of embracing my curiosity and developing a diverse skill set that spans academics, leadership, and community engagement. One of my proudest achievements is earning the AP Scholar Award in 2024, which not only recognises my dedication but also demonstrates the perseverance and hard work that's helped me succeed in challenging coursework.
But what drives my passion for learning isn't just about academics – it's about exploring new ideas and tackling complex problems with enthusiasm. Every experience has strengthened my desire to move forward, whether I'm exploring the field of physics, where my interests have led me from Budapest to Geneva, or exploring the field of research, where I've worked with ferrofluids and collaborative robots (cobots). Representing India at the International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT) in 2024 was a highlight of my academic career.
Beyond the classroom, I've also found a love for leadership roles that have given me the chance to make an impact on my community. As President of Rotary Interact Palmville for 2024-25, I've led several initiatives focused on social issues – from educating women on menstrual hygiene to helping domestic workers improve their English skills during the pandemic. More recently, I am organising a cross-city climate conference that will bring together over 500 students to propose solutions to environmental challenges.
When I'm not studying or working on projects, you can find me cheering on my favourite NBA and NFL teams! Music is also a big part of my life - I love listening to different genres. And when I'm feeling active, you can catch me playing basketball, football, or other sports with my friends.
I'm really excited about the opportunities that lie ahead, and I'm looking forward to applying my skills and knowledge in new and challenging ways. As I look to the future, I am confident of being a committed and engaged member of society through my passion for learning and exploration.
